Office Visits

Our practice is committed to providing you and your family with safe, gentle, high-quality dental care. We understand that you or your child may feel anxious about visiting the dentist. We are sensitive to your needs, and it is our goal to make you feel comfortable visiting our practice while providing the best care possible.

Your first visit is all about you – your comfort, your happiness, and your health.

During your first visit, we will take all necessary X-rays to evaluate the structure of the jaw, position of all teeth, whether erupted or un-erupted, and signs of periodontal disease and tooth decay. We will conduct a very thorough exam that includes oral cancer screening, evaluation of existing restorations, checking for tooth decay and disease, and evaluation of the overall health of your gums and supporting tissues.

We will go through a detailed medical history with up-to-date information on your health, hospitalizations, and surgeries, and we'll also look over your list of prescription and over-the-counter medications. This information allows us to choose and present the best and safest methods of treatment for you.

After we evaluate your records and all the information we’ve gathered, we will discuss the recommended treatment plan in detail, including all your options, the cost of your treatment, and we'll also answer any questions you may have.

Bring your smile, but also remember to bring these with you to your first appointment:

  • Your completed patient information form
  • Your insurance card

Regular checkups are an important part of maintaining a healthy smile!

The American Dental Association recommends visiting your dentist every six months for regular checkups and routine teeth cleanings to keep your teeth and gums healthy.

We understand that you have a busy schedule, so when you're preparing to visit our office, please remember that your initial appointment can last between 45 and 90 minutes. During your regular checkups and cleanings, your appointment will typically last between 50 and 60 minutes.
